Tips to make your chosen glasses last longer

The long-term usability of our glasses depends primarily on us who wear them.

Here are some tips to enjoy your chosen glasses for a long time:

  1. Always put your glasses on and take them off your face with both hands, holding both stems.
  2. Glasses are not a hairband 😊 – when you are not wearing them, always put them back in their case.
  3. Never put your glasses on a table or cabinet with the lenses facing down.
  4. Regular cleaning is important!
    1. Use a microfiber cloth for this.
    2. Avoid paper-based materials (napkins, wipes). These may contain wood fibers that can scratch the lens.
    3. Rinse very dirty glasses first in plenty of water to prevent smaller dust particles from scratching the lens surface when using the cloth.
    4. You can also wash your glasses regularly: warm water and a liquid soap or dishwashing detergent with a pH close to neutral are ideal
  5. Do not expose your glasses to extreme temperature fluctuations or extreme temperatures (e.g. leaving them in a car in the summer), as the different thermal expansion of the materials and the lens layers can cause permanent damage.
