How is the eye test performed?
The health of our vision directly affects the quality of our everyday life. A thorough examination helps the early identification of vision problems to offer appropriate correction.
How is the vision test performed?
The eye test / vision test is performed by our highly qualified graduate optometrist. In simple cases, the test takes only 15-20 minutes, even in more complex cases it does not take more than 30 minutes. During the test, we use the most modern ophthalmological equipment to assess the condition of your vision and determine the necessary correction.
Steps of the eye test:
- Refraction test: Our optometrist uses a special instrument (called refractometer) to measure the refractive error of your eye.
- Use of trial lenses: We place trial lenses of different strengths in front of your eyes to find the lens that provides you the sharpest vision.
- Visual acuity test: Reading letters or symbols from a board to determine the diopter value.
For adults it is recommended to have an eye exam every year, and every six months for those over 60.
